Old Japan in motion

This is super awesome. I just recently realized that 3D technology already exist even in the late 18th century and early 19th century! Wow.

It is commonly called as stereoview, and one of the kind of stereo images modern viewer is the View Master.

The noted Japanese photographer who responsible for these pics is T. Enami (1859-1929).

For the rest of the cool images you can find it here : http://pinktentacle.com/2009/10/animated-stereoviews-of-old-japan/. And for the original stereo images (non animated)you can find here.

Enjoy! :)

Video of the Day : “Un Tour De Manège"

Here's another lovely animation from the extremely talented students of the Gobelins; called “Un Tour De Manège"; or as Google Translate suggested : "A Ride".

I'm not really hooked with the story line, but the watercolor and the graphic and the composition is simply lovely!

Enjoy! :)

Video of the Day : Skhizein Animation

This 13 minutes French animation by Jeremy Clapin tells a story about Henry, just an average guy whose life has been altered by his encounter with some 150 tonnes meteorite.

It's a nice animation, cute but in a dark way. Enjoy, and have a great weekend! :)

Video of the Day : Google Street View

A very adorable animation from Google Japan on how Google Street View works.

It's so adorable I almost ignore the uneasy feeling I get from seeing this Google Robot with camera watching and recording EVERYTHING. But I'm not. However cute the animation is. :P

But hey, maybe it's just me. Anyway it will be a very useful tool if I want to stalk someone in the future. :D

Google scouring the street for EVERYTHING.

Google saved EVERY images in his handy dandy basket.

Google uploads EVERYTHING to the Internet.

Google receives complain notifications and altered his image database accordingly.

Google working his ass off until so late at night everyday to satisfy EVERYBODY.

:)

Pee in the Shower! Save the Atlantic Forest!

So here's another SUPER CUTE video of a Brazilian ad campaign done by Saatchi & Saatchi, to promote Xixi no Banho, or, Pee in the Shower. :D
Veery cheeky. I LOVE it.

Apparently, peeing in the shower has a deep impact in the environment, because by doing so, we can save 12 liters of clean water per flush, or it is up to 4380 liters per year. And still in the same theme, you can read more about how peeing in your garden would be good for your plant here (http://www.treehugger.com/files/2009/06/is-peeing-in-public-green.php).

So, what are you waiting for?! Let's pee in the shower !! Don't waste that precious phosphate of yours. :D
